Classics of SA | BMW SA restores SA-exlusive 333i and rare M1

As part of BMW's 100th anniversary celebrations, BMW South Africa has restored 2 rare icons, the SA-Exclusive "triple-3i" and rare M1.

This very M1 was restored after being purchased from owner back in the mid-1980's, using it as part of the classic collection but later on the car had mechanical issues making it "un-drivable." Now they have restored it once again.

The 333i based on the E30 3-Series was manufactured in 1985. This car was developed exclusively for the South African market. It was developed in the collaboration with BMW and Alpina (Fact: you could say Alpina before you could say algebra) and is powered by a 3.2l straight 6 pushing out 146 kW. Only 200 were ever made.

In 2017, they have intentions of doing a full restore on an E30 325is.
